For almost four decades, Flint River Academy has been fulfilling our mission of developing the mind, body and spirit while providing a safe nurturing environment based on Christian values.
Our campus in Woodbury provides a school experience reminiscent of an earlier time when students enjoyed school and shared a sense of belonging with fellow students. This has been accomplished through the dedication of a caring faculty that helps children fulfill their intellectual promise and show them that strength of character and personal integrity play an important role in preparing them to be successful participants in life.
Because of the efforts of both faculty and students, Flint River Academy has quickly become one of the most respected private schools in the Georgia Independent School Association. The school has amassed an impressive array of academic, literary, and athletic awards in both individual and group events at the local, regional, and state levels. In addition, our graduates have achieved success at such prestigious colleges and universities as MIT, Harvard, Vassar, Brown, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Auburn, and the military academies.
The excellence that our founding fathers envisioned when our school was established continues today. Currently, our ITBS scores show our students building on this tradition. On average, our students in grades one through six are scoring two grade levels above their standing. Even more impressive are the seventh and eighth grades scoring at the tenth and twelfth grade levels respectively. Of equal importance to our students is the assurance that when they graduate from Flint River Academy, they are graduating from a school that is fully accredited with quality by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Georgia Accrediting Commission.
