Welcome to the Flint River Academy.
Flint River Academy is a private, college-preparatory school founded in 1967. The school is committed to the continuation of its fine tradition of academic excellence and the development of mind, body, and spirit of every student. Flint River Academy’s environment fosters a learning atmosphere through small classes, caring teachers, and warm and friendly relationships among students and staff. Our traditional values are based on Christian principles and loyalty to country. Students are encouraged to put these principles into action through responsible living and service to others. Each student at Flint River Academy is given the opportunity to participate in athletic, literary, and club extracurricular activities sponsored or coached by highly qualified professional staff. Each activity helps the students develop leadership skills and self-esteem. Flint River Academy currently boasts the Meriwether County STAR Student and Teacher. We are also competitive on the state level in football, baseball, softball, one-act play and many of the state literary events.
Flint River Academy is an exceptional school with a tradition of academic achievement. We are dually accredited with SACS/SAIS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools & Southern Association of Independent Schools). We are also a member of the Georgia Independent Schools Association and the Southern Association of Independent Schools.
