Volcanoes Erupting in Woodbury Georgia
Ms. Lee's sixth grade science classes learned about chemical reactions by erupting volcanoes! Each group built the volcano and researched the combinations of
ingredients that would result in an eruption. Students were very creative with their construction materials - bottles, flower vases, chicken wire, plaster, cake, mud,
paper, rocks, paint. There were numerous ways to achieve the volcanic reaction too. Some students used vinegar, baking soda, Diet Coke, mentos, pop rocks,
dish soap...some even used strawberry syrup or food coloring to make their lava appear red!
